Before the launch of Activision’s latest COD title in a recent trailer, fans have already witnessed their iconic “Replacer” replacing Neyrelle from Diablo 4.
However, this time, he replaced the fan-favorite iconic GIFs. As a result, GIPHY’s trending page was filled with tonnes of Replacer GIFs for a day across numerous platforms. This marketing campaign's main goal was to bring back the Replacer to keep the COD community engaged in a comical way.
According to Mutiny’s Executive Creative Director Noah Elchen, by collaborating with GIPHY, they provided the Black Ops 6 fanbase with a unique way of online communication utilizing the iconic comical character they love.

Meanwhile, Activision and Mutiny used modern-day technology like props, rear projection, and custom lighting to turn Peter Stromrare (The Replacer) into these well-detailed fan-favorite GIFs.

On the other hand, GIPHY’s Client Lead Shira Lasoff mentioned they were highly excited to introduce the Replacer as a part of people’s daily life conversation so that worldwide fans can connect through the COD string.

Now that the Replacer has taken the place of all the viral GIFs for a day, the Black Ops 6 fanbase is eager about his next appearance. But Activision hasn’t revealed anything specific regarding Replacer’s upcoming emergence.
