Activision acknowledges major cheating issues in Warzone Season 5

Activation finally acknowledged the major cheating issues, hindering players from playing Warzone Season 5. Players are furious over the influx of Warzone cheaters that use hacks like aimbots, and wall hacks, and some of them are using unreleased skins of Warzone Season 5. However, in an X post, Activision admitted that there was an issue within Ricochet, the anti-cheat system of Call of Duty that allows cheaters to enter the title without detecting them. But now that issue has been resolved.

After several reports and social media chaos from players claiming cheaters are playing on Xbox Game Pass, as shown in the lobby logo, the developers finally acknowledged the issue. In that post, Activision mentioned that Ricochet, the Anti-Cheat system for Call of Duty has resolved an issue with a detection system over the weekend, leading to a surge in cheater reports.

Moreover, they also mentioned that the anti-cheat system can detect cheaters for all platforms, despite how the cheaters may appear in-game. They also mentioned that if players encounter cheaters in their lobby, regardless of platform, they must submit an in-game report for further investigation.

Further, they added that the developers are committed to combating cheaters, shutting down several cheat vendors, and providing players with a fair and fun experience. Activision recently filed a lawsuit against popular cheat provider company EngineOwing, resulting in a fine of $14.45 million and the shuttering of the business. However, this incident has not prevented other websites from selling cheats and ruining the Season 5 experience. Activision will likely take harsher legal steps as more sellers pop up.
