The actor portraying the mysterious character seen on the key art of CoD Black Ops 6 has been finally identified. It's been confirmed that he will be voiced by The First Purge actor Y'lan Noel, according to the latest Variety report. Previous rumors suggested that the character might be connected to older entries in the Black Ops franchise. However, that isn't the case anymore.
Activision is set to fully unveil CoD 2024 Black Ops 6 this week during the Xbox Showcase event on June 9, 2024.
Y'lan Noel will voice a brand new, unnamed character in CoD 2024 Black Ops 6 Campaign
Variety recently shared the big news and revealed the actor behind Black Ops 6's unnamed key art character. Played by Y'lan Noel, this character will have an extremely important role in the campaign. However, major details are still under wraps ahead of the upcoming Xbox Showcase where Activision will introduce the actor.
Speaking of Y'lan Noel, he's a Panamanian-American actor known for his roles in the TV series Insecure and 2018's horror film The First Purge. He was also seen in the romantic drama The Photograph and the indie comedy The Weekend. For his next project, he will star opposite actress Natalie Portman in Apple TV+'s limited series titled Lady In the Lake.
While he hasn't worked in video games before, Activision's marketing chief Tyler Bahl is already impressed with him, as per Variety. Additionally, he talked about the upcoming Black Ops 6 campaign. The game will focus on the concept of The Truth Lies, a phrase made popular by Treyarch's promotional tactics in the last month.
As per Bahl, it will highlight what can be real or fake, just like in today's world of social media where anyone can believe anything. Fans must wait until June 9, as Activision prepares to unveil everything regarding the story and Y'lan Noel's unnamed character in BO6.
