Black Ops 6 developer has confirmed an upcoming nerf for the Jackal PDW in Weekend 2 of the Open Beta on their official X handle. In the early access, the Jackal PDW became an absolute meta and dominated Weekend 1 of the game. However, Treyarch Studios has promised an upcoming weapon balancing update with the open beta going live, and now they have confirmed the Jackal PDW nerf in the game.
Not only that, but the devs have also mentioned a potential meta that might take the place of the Jackal PDW in Weekend 2 of the Black Ops 6 Beta. For more information, read on.
Tanto .22 to take Jackal PDW's place in Black Ops 6 Beta Weekend 2
On their official X handle, Treyarch Studios stated:
"And finally, take a break from the Jackal PDW for a minute (it's been tuned for Weekend 2 btw) and equip the all-new Tanto .22 full-auto SMG at Level 30."
Here, the devs have openly acknowledged that the Jackal PDW has been a meta for Weekend 1, and now it's time to take a break from the weapon. They have also revealed that the weapon has been tuned for the upcoming update. The Black Ops 6 Open Beta Weekend 2 will introduce two brand new weapons in the game; DM-10 and Tanto .22.
While the first weapon is a Marksman Rifle, the second weapon is an SMG and a potential replacement for the Jackal PDW. To unlock the Tanto .22 in the game, you need to reach level 30.
As for the DM-10 in Black Ops 6, you need to reach level 25 in Beta Weekend 2. Treyarch devs have also notified that more details regarding the nerf and changes will be revealed via patch notes before the update goes live today.
