It looks like Treyarch's team is really pushing the Zombies storyline in Black Ops 6 ahead of its release this fall. Recently, the online storefront GameStop revealed a new promotional video for BO6's physical steelbook that features a major logo connected to Black Ops 6 Zombies. Apparently, a mysterious project is expected to be a part of BO6's experience.
Black Ops 6 Zombies is set to bring back the round-based format while reintroducing a Crew-based experience. Moreover, its story will take place after the events of 2020's Black Ops Cold War Zombies.

GameStop steelbook displays Project Janus logo while teasing Black Ops 6 Zombies
For those unaware, there's actually a physical steelbook one can get by pre-ordering BO6 from GameStop (offline or online). Interestingly, GameStop updated the details regarding this steelbook recently by adding a small video. It highlighted the overall design and looks, this time from the inside as well.
On the outside, the cover shows the characters of Rusell Adler and Troy Marshall. However, when the video shows the inside of the steelbook, the logo of Project Janus can be seen very clearly.
Project Janus is tied to the lore of Zombies in Call of Duty franchise. Last time it was teased in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. It's part of a mysterious plan of the main antagonist Eddie Richtofen in the ongoing storyline focusing on the Dark Aether saga.
So far, there's been no major update on Project Janus regarding its objective and why it matters so much to Richtofen. However, various speculations have suggested that he might use the project to bring back his son Samuel by opening a gateway between the real world and the Dark Aether.

Given that BO6 Zombies will take place after the Cold War, the emergence of the Project Janus logo clearly indicates that the developers are planning something big for the Zombies mode and its overall narrative. Still, one needs to wait unless there's an official update from Treyarch Studios ahead of the launch on October 25, 2024.
