In his recent exit announcement, Greg Reisdorf thanked Sledgehammer Games for the opportunities he received and the number of talented developers he worked with. Reisdorf officially exited Sledgehammer Games on January 10, 2025.

He posted a thread on X, reiterating some of his favorite Call of Duty features that he had devoted his time to while at the organization. He noted that "Scorched Earth" in MW3 was one of the first levels that he had worked on:

"One of my first levels was "Scorched Earth" in MW3. It featured an A-10 strafing run players could call in. Figuring out how to animate the A-10 for a city with tall buildings while being player-controlled was a blast."

Furthermore, players may recall the "Reisdorf" building from the same level in MW3. The building was named after him, but he was not the one who added it to the game. Regardless, it was a brilliant experience for him:

"Fun fact: the "Reisdorf" building in the level wasn’t named by me! One of the artists added it as a nod, and it stuck. Seeing it in my first CoD game was surreal."

Apart from this, Greg Reisdorf has worked on the movement in Advanced Warfare as well as the Tactical Reload. He also helped work on the CoD: WWII HQ and the destructible environment in Vanguard.

Many veteran players lined up in the comment section to pay their respects to Greg Reisdorf and thank him for his incredibly valuable work as he leaves Sledgehammer Games for good.
