He mentioned that Sony has previously revealed in its report that Call of Duty was one of the top franchises that generated over 50% of its storefront revenue in the last three fiscal years.
Per the analyst, Black Ops 6 coming to Game Pass may end up compelling more people to sign up for Microsoft's gaming subscription service. Also, most new subscribers may likely join the plans of Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass.
Moreover, those who already own Xbox and PlayStation consoles may be attracted by the lower pricing for BO6 on Game Pass. As a result, they might even purchase an Xbox console, according to Piers Hardings-Rolls.
The analyst also emphasized that although Sony's PlayStation userbase will be affected by Black Ops 6 coming to Game Pass, the overall disruption won't be extreme because of the free-to-play Warzone live-service title.
