The NA Last Chance Qualifier for the World Series of Warzone has been clouded in controversy after a contestant admitted to cheating during the tournament. On July 6, 2024, shortly after the NA LCQ, a Discord chat was leaked, which showed Vexoh and some other players talking about the cheats they have been using in-game. Vexoh later admitted to cheating through a post on their now-deleted X account.

World Series of Warzone (WSOW) is Call of Duty Warzone's premier tournament. The 2024 tournament started in late May and is currently at the Last Chance Qualifier stage ahead of the Global Finals.

This article contains more details about the incident.

Player Vexoh admits to cheating during World Series of Warzone NA Last Chance Qualifier

An official contestant for World Series of Warzone admitted to using cheats during the Last Chance Qualifier stage for the NA region. Vexoh wasn't just any player in the game series; they placed second in the elimination leaderboard with 22 eliminations.

After screenshots of the player's message about using Warzone cheats were leaked, Vexoh admitted to the deed through a post on X. They said:

"Yeah I did that sh*t no way of fighting against it. Just got greedy. "

While Vexoh admitted to cheating in the tournament, they also made it clear that they weren't the only ones to do it in the World Series of Warzone, saying:

"Not that it's an excuse but if you really believe me chef and onoy are the only people that did it you are just blatantly wrong. I'll put it to you like this. I'm decent at hiding it.... If that leak never came out off gameplay alone you wouldn't even tell."

Vexoh ended his statement by saying that Warzone's competitive scene isn't regulated well enough, as is evident in this tournament's results.

Fans and players of the Warzone community quickly reacted to the issue. Even popular Call of Duty content creator JGOD commented on the incident and said:

"Unfortunate 2 Players decided to ruin so many players last chance at making it to the WSOW LAN, including their teammate."

While Vexoh's team did not qualify for the next round of the World Series of Warzone, they certainly cut the hopes of the other teams they eliminated with their illicit practices.
