It appears the initial identity of the main protagonist in Black Ops 6 Campaign has been leaked already. While Treyarch Studios' team hasn't shared an official update on the central character players will take control of in the story mode, a YouTuber seems to have shared crucial details on the actual protagonist's name in the Campaign mode.

Identity of the main playable character in Black Ops 6 Campaign reportedly leaked

Popular YouTuber and Call of Duty lore expert InkSlasher recently shared a video on his channel that mentioned secret details players may have missed in the Black Ops 6 reveal trailer and deep-dive session during the Xbox Showcase event on June 9.

While talking about the Black Ops 6 Campaign, the YouTuber mentioned an important piece of information about the main protagonist. According to him, the central playable character will likely be named Case. However, it's a codename similar to Bell's identity, also based on a codename, in 2020's Black Ops Cold War.

The YouTuber also revealed that when he was invited to Treyarch Studios headquarters, as part of the BO6 reveal, the developers mostly kept the details related to Case's character hidden. Hence, their overall background remains a mystery.

Considering the character's codename is Case, one can assume that players will be able to customize their identity and gender in the story. Black Ops Cold War had a similar option that allowed players to change the main protagonist's gender and name, but the code name always remained Bell. For now, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

It will be interesting to see if the developers will share any crucial details on Case ahead of the game's launch on October 25, 2024.
