Microsoft has removed the Xbox Game Pass 14-day trial just before the launch of Black Ops 6. Earlier, those who wanted to try out the Game Pass but didn't want to pay the full price could try out the service's offerings for just $1. Doing so would've given them 14 days of access to the Game Pass with no limits.
However, the trial mode has now been scrapped just two weeks before the launch of BO6.
Xbox Game Pass 14-day trial scrapped before Black Ops 6 launch
Xbox Game Pass's 14-day trial has been removed with Black Ops 6's release just around the corner. As mentioned earlier, if users wanted to try out Game Pass they could do so by paying just $1 instead of $9.99 for the Core, $14.99 for Standard, and $19.99 for the Ultimate tier.
However, Microsoft has removed this trial mode and if fans wanted to give Black Ops 6 a shot using the $1 trial mode, they are out of luck for now.
For those unaware, Microsoft recently acquired Activision Blizzard, the publisher of Call of Duty games. With the deal locked in, Microsoft promised to bring the latest COD games to the Game Pass on day one of their release. Since Game Pass was a cheap and easier way to gain access to a host of games, fans were quite elated at the prospect.
COD Black Ops 6 is the first new installment that is set to join the Game Pass on its release date, October 25, 2024. However, the scrapping of the $1 trial mode will now force fans to pay the full price for the subscription service. So, if fans want to play B06 using the Xbox Game Pass, they will have to shell out at least $14.99/month.
