HorizonMW is bringing back the popular MW2 mod H2M
A group of developers has been working on a project called HorizonMW with the goal of reviving the MW2 mod H2M. As mentioned earlier, the project is completely open source, meaning that the software can be shared and modified without copyright infringements.
Similar to the original MW2 mod H2M, the only condition to run the mod is to own a copy of Modern Warfare Remastered on Steam. This will allow fans to access all the new features this new project promises.
For those who are yet to catch up with the entire Activision and H2M fiasco, the H2M was a popular Modern Warfare Remastered mod. It aimed at delivering fans a host of content that the Call of Duty community requested. It introduced a host of weapons, maps, Killstreaks from different installments of the series, an improved leveling system, and more for free. The only requirement was for players to own a legitimate copy of the Modern Warfare Remastered.
The mod essentially acted as a mixing pot for classic CoD mechanics and content. But Activision didn't take kindly to the efforts of the community. This led to a cease and desist order on the project, compelling its developers to shut down the project at once. This was met with negative reactions from the community and players were certainly unhappy with Activision.
Fortunately, the H2M mod has now been revived via an open-source project called HorizonMW, promising players everything that the H2M mod stood for and more as it evolves with time.
