A new Black Ops 6 Zombies map is rumored to release in Season 2

Treyarch, one of the developers of Black Ops 6, recently posted on X, informing players that they will reveal future Zombies content on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, including details about the next round-based Black Ops 6 Zombies map.

The statement confirms that a new map is on the way, and players can expect details to be released soon. Since Season 1 is currently ongoing and Black Ops 6 Season 2 is set to go live on January 28, 2025, this reveal suggests that the new Zombies map may launch alongside Season 2.

Fans can also anticipate the continuation of the main storyline as well as new features such as a new zombie type, Wonder Weapons, Field Upgrades, Augments, and more to enhance the mode’s engagement.

Additionally, with the massive Ricochet update on its way and to be implemented in the Season 2 update to address the ongoing cheating problem, this reveal could signal a significant effort by the developers to improve the game’s reputation and deliver exciting content across all major modes.

On January 13, 2025, Call of Duty released a minor patch to address several ongoing issues. The patch resolves the frustrating crashing and freezing problems, along with additional fixes outlined below:

  • Fixed an issue where loading screens were causing instances of freezing or crashing.
  • Fixed an issue with bullet trajectory on the AMR Mod 4.
  • Fixed an issue in Resurgence where a player dying out of bounds would lose functionality of their field upgrades and killstreaks.
  • Fixed an issue where models weren’t visible for ammo boxes, self-revives, and throwing knives.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not have a death icon when dying to Red Light Green Light.
