According to a recent leak, Warzone's Verdansk won’t be available during Black Ops 6 Season 1. It has reportedly been delayed to the mid-cycle of the upcoming game. The map has yet to return to the PC and console versions of Warzone since it was replaced by newer options like Urzikstan and Fortune’s Keep back in 2021. However, it can still be seen in its mobile version as of 2024.
Note: Players are advised to take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt until there’s official confirmation from the developers.
Warzone's Verdansk might return in 2025
Popular Call of Duty data miner on X, @BobNetworkUK, has claimed that fan-favorite Warzone map Verdansk won’t be available during Black Ops 6 Season 1. It will instead be accessible at a later time in Black Ops 6's life cycle. Hence, we can expect that the fan-favorite map Verdansk might not return before 2025.
To compensate for this delay, Warzone's Urzikstan will reportedly receive gameplay changes, map updates, and Ranked Play with Season 1.
The developers released a new Resurgence map and later launched Verdansk ‘84 (a completely revised version of the map set in the 1980s that also included all the weapons) in the previous Black Ops game in the series, Black Ops Cold War.
Players can expect more upgrades and changes, including new weapons, operators, and game modes, which might be set in the early 1990s this time.
The latest rumor, if true, will disappoint many fans, as the legacy of Verdansk still lives on in their minds. With everything said, Black Ops 6 remains a must-play for Call of Duty fans, as it is an exciting new chapter in the franchise.
