The future of Warzone could change with a rare addition to its Gunsmith system, according to a trusted insider on social media. It appears the Wildcards feature from classic Black Ops installments could finally come to the battle royale experience in Call of Duty. Wildcards lets players include up to eight attachments on their weapons, as opposed to the standard limit of five. Undoubtedly, such an introduction could change the way Warzone BR operates in general.

This article explores the new leak suggesting Wildcards' alleged addition to Warzone Battle Royale.

Note: Players are advised to take leaks and rumors with a grain of salt until there's an official confirmation from the developers.

Wildcards in Warzone may allow players to experiment with their loadouts in extreme ways

Reliable scooper and industry insider @BobNetworkUK, who's had a great track record of sharing convincing updates on the CoD franchise, recently leaked a new detail. The account revealed that the popular Wildcards feature will reportedly arrive in Warzone when Black Ops 6 releases later this year.

The leak suggests that the reason for WZ to have Wildcards is because of its integration with Black Ops 6's upcoming changes and other gameplay mechanics. As a result, many expected features from BO6 may end up making their way to Warzone.

If the battle royale ends up having Wildcards, players will be able to have up to eight attachments on their weapons, compared to the standard limit of five. This overhaul should offer a new experience within the BR format of the series.

Moreover, such a revolutionary change could affect the traditional balance of WZ in numerous ways by giving players more freedom in choosing and customizing their loadouts.

For those unaware, the Wildcards system was initially introduced in Black Ops 2 (2012) and was last seen in 2020's Black Ops Cold War.

As of now, nothing's been confirmed regarding the latest leak. Hence, one should take everything with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.
