Warzone will reportedly receive new Resurgence map "Area 99" for Black Ops 6

A new Warzone Resurgence map called Area 99 is reportedly in the works for Black Ops 6. While this information was apparently confirmed by Treyarch to the sources, details about the new map were not disclosed. Fans will have to wait for Call of Duty NEXT 2024 to obtain more information on the rumored new map as well as the Multiplayer and Warzone modes.

CoD BO6 is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2024, on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. While the Black Ops 6 Zombies mode has been revealed during the BO6 Direct event, Treyarch has yet to disclose official information on Warzone and multiplayer modes.

Treyarch will reportedly launch "Area 99" Resurgence map for Black Ops 6

In late June 2024, reliable Call of Duty data miner and leaker @BobNetworkUK shared on X that Treyarch is working on a new Resurgence map for BO6. The map will reportedly be called Area 99 and is set to release some time during the game's live seasons.

With recent rumors about Warzone not getting a new map this year, Area 99 will most likely be unavailable during the game's launch on October 25, 2024.

Treyarch has yet to confirm the news officially, but players can expect more information about Area 99 and Warzone in Call of Duty NEXT 2024, another reveal event for the upcoming CoD installment.

Currently, the Warzone Ranked Resurgence takes place on two fan-favorite maps, Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep, which were developed by Treyarch and High Moon Studios, respectively. The last time Warzone received a new map was in December 2023 with the release of Urzikstan.
