Call of Duty players are seemingly upset over the Ranked Play experience in Modern Warfare 3 due to the frequent invasion of cheaters. So much so that some of the players called out developers for their inability to prevent hackers. There's the Ricochet anti-cheat system at work but it seems to have failed miserably.

A CoD player, known as u/Dikenbaus_, recently took to Reddit to share their disappointment after going through a problematic Ranked Play experience in MW3. According to them, it's not worth playing anymore due to the appearance of frequent cheaters, especially after reaching the Diamond 3 rank. In their post, u/Dikenbaus_ said:

"Ranked is a waste of time"

One CoD user, named u/Formal-Cry7565, agreed with the post. They wrote that the number of cheaters has rapidly escalated and one is likely to face them even more in high-MMR Ranked matches.

Another Redditor, u/chrpskwk, seemed to agree with the point of the original poster regarding Ranked being a waste of time. However, their reasoning was slightly different.

Meanwhile, another Redditor u/holdthesmoke wrote that they stopped playing a long time ago because of the increased number of cheaters.

One CoD fan, named u/Billy_the_bib, wrote that the makers and developers need to impose a better tool than Ricochet as it's not strong enough.

Another individual, u/KyleReincarne, mentioned that Ranked Play is generally not worth trying unless there's prize money attached to it in competitions.

Lastly, one Redditor u/Silly_Idiot111 wrote that they have also witnessed hackers after reaching Diamond 3 rank in the competitive mode while playing on PC.

Modern Warfare 3 needs to have a solid anti-cheat system to tackle serious hackers

There have been various instances of cheaters in Modern Warfare 3 since its launch. Despite the introduction of the Ricochet anti-cheat system, clever hackers have managed to find loopholes in the security mechanism of the existing system.

Seems like it's high time for the developers and publisher Activision to implement stricter anti-cheat software based on superior technology that can identify every cheater and prevent them from playing the game.
