Call of Duty players were initially excited when the highly competitive Black Ops 6 Ranked Play mode went live on November 21, 2024. However, this excitement quickly turned into frustration due to rampant cheating issues. Many top Call of Duty content creators have voiced their concerns, including one of the former World Champions, @OctaneSam, who remarked:
"Ricochet never actually existed."
Popular creator ModernWarzone highlighted the severity of the issue, tweeting:
"Seeing a lot of people say that they’ve NEVER seen cheating this bad in Call of Duty ranked play."
Similarly, retired Canadian player and current OpTic Texas coach @DKarma posted:
"Excited to try out Ranked Play? Don’t. It's never been this bad. Cheaters are everywhere."
Adding to the outcry, @Nadeshot, an eight-time CoD Major Champion, founder of 100 Thieves, and former OpTic Texas captain, expressed his frustration:
"The cheating in Ranked Play on Black Ops 6 is the worst it’s been. I’m actually disgusted. Don’t know how it’s gotten to this point, but the game is completely chalked."
These comments underscore the gravity of the situation. The cheating problem in Call of Duty's Ranked Play has reached unparalleled levels, with the anti-cheat system, Ricochet, failing to control the issue. This failure has led to widespread frustration, with some declaring the game "completely chalked" as hackers ruin the experience for players across the board.

Former professional CoD player @JeremyStuD further highlighted the issue by posting:
"Dude what a awful experience today. 16/20 of my ranked games had hackers in it, might already be chalked for me after 2 days."
Jeremy’s detailed account reveals that he encountered hackers in 16 out of 20 matches, an alarming 80% of games. This statistic signifies the severity of the issue and highlights how widespread cheating has become in Ranked Play.
Other CoD personalities echoed similar sentiments. Former professional player @Methodz expressed the game is "unplayable," while @Parasite, the first-ever CoD World Champion, voiced his sarcasm:
"Glad to see the anti-cheat is working as intended for everyone this morning!"
While Parasite was initially excited about Ranked Play, he encountered so many hackers during his stream that he ended it early. The following day brought no relief, with only a few legitimate matches amidst out-of-control cheating.
Content creator @ZooMaa also expressed frustration, saying:
"Especially all the weirdos on tik tok doing it live never seen so many odd balls."
His comment shed light on hackers blatantly showcasing their exploits in TikTok videos.
