Trusted insider and scooper @alanthethird recently shared a post with leaked codes from in-game files of MW3. According to the leaked codes, it looks like an Unstable Rift in MW3 Zombies will be revealed in Season 4.

Moreover, the insider also mentioned that players may have to survive different phases in this Unstable Rift under MW3 Zombies Season 4. In other words, the new seasonal update might introduce a round-based zombie mode where Operators will need to survive different rounds similar to previous Call of Duty games.

In recent CoD installments like Black Ops Cold War, the zombie experience featured separate modes that required players to fight waves of the undead while clearing successive rounds. Eventually, they had to exfil after surviving all the rounds and completing multiple objectives.

MW3 Zombies already has a system of exfil-based gameplay but with a focus on looting and defeating bosses inside an open-world map. Having a traditional round-based zombie experience back will please the fans of Call of Duty zombies.
