Read on to learn more about how the Prestige system might work in Black Ops 6.
How might the Prestige system work in CoD Black Ops 6?
Given the leaked information, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 might feature a Prestige system that was similar to the older Call of Duty titles. Which means a player might level up and become the Prestige Master, but they can go beyond that and reach all the way up to 1000.
However, there was no seasonal reset in the classic Prestige system. Which means players could level up their rank at their own pace. The most controversial thing in the classic Prestige mode was not being able to keep your unlocked guns and other gears. Hence, the upcoming title might not keep the Prestige system exactly like the older days of CoD. We can expect the iconic leveling up system to with no seasonal reset.
The system was first changed in the Black Ops Cold War. Compared to the previous titles, Black Ops Cold War featured a continuous leveling of Prestige ranks. All the level-ups were also unified across all sections. Be it Warzone, multiplayer, or zombies, players could level up simultaneously across all the modes. Each season, the prestige rank would go back to level 1. However, all the unlocked items would still be in your inventory.
Given that Black Ops 6 might go back to the classic Prestige system, there is a chance that only the leveling up process would change. With the introduction of Warzone, Call of Duty has become more competitive, and no player would want their guns to be locked again after unlocking them by grinding hard.
