CoD dataminer leaks Warzone map code names; two possibilities emerge
According to the leak on X, the upcoming Warzone map might be an African-based map in Sierra Leone. If you are a veteran CoD fan, you'd know that the map inspired by a real location was a POI in the OG Modern Warfare 3. The place was a part of the hunt for Vladimir Makarov, the primary antagonist in the Modern Warfare saga. Hence, the same place's return in Warzone might not be an impossible situation.
Furthermore, one of the leaked map code names says "Sierra". However, a code name doesn't always portray the original name/place in a game. Here are all the leaked code names found in the game data:
- Gym season 1
- Rebirth update season 1
- Delta Avalon / zombies
- Blima / zombies
- Delta
- Area 99
- Sierra
The leaker has also assumed that the map could be Verdansk 2.0, which is rumored to be released in 2025. We are yet to have any official confirmation from Activision, and we can expect some major updates regarding Warzone in the upcoming CoD Next event on August 28.
