Classic inventory system reportedly returning to Warzone after Balck Ops 6 integration happens
In a recent X post, @BobNetworkUK mentioned that the backpack from the WZ2 era will finally dismissed and the old inventory system from WZ1 will be introduced when the Black Ops 6 integration happens. As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the leak. However, if this proves to be true, the amount of equipment and weapons players could carry before will likely be downsized.
How does the inventory system work in Warzone 1?
In WZ1, the Inventory system acts as a storage facility for items that players could carry throughout a match. Players can simply approach a container, open it, and a preference for weapons, ammo, or other equipment would spill out. Players can pick up two weapons and a few items from the ground and store them in their Inventory.

However, the backpack system grants greater storage capacity, allowing players to take more ammo and one extra weapon. Players can even automatically pick up ammo that fits the firearms they carrying. For instance, if a player is using an AR they will automatically pick up AR ammo while in sprint.

If the classic inventory system returns to the game in the future, players can face difficulties while upgrading and picking up ammo manually, which might distract them from the gameplay. Moreover, they can store less equipment and only two weapons in their inventory leading to difficult choices about which weapon to keep or discard.
This concludes everything you need to know regarding the leak around the return of the classic inventory system in Warzone.
