According to a recent speculation on CoD 2024 Black Ops 6 campaign, Russell Adler's character in the game's story might be inspired by a 1975 movie featuring actor Robert Redford. Titled Three Days of the Condor, the film was a political thriller about a CIA worker who gets hunted by his own people, similar to the rumored storyline of BO6 focusing on Adler.

That said, there are even more similarities between Adler and Robert Redford's movie. This article will try to mention them as highlighted by a Call of Duty insider on social media.

Note: Readers are advised to take early speculations and rumors with a grain of salt.

Russell Adler's character and CoD 2024 Black Ops 6 story might be based on Three Days of the Condor movie, suggests insider

Call of Duty scooper @TheGhostofHope recently shared a post speculating on Russell Adler in Black Ops 6. Per the insider, the game and especially Adler's appearance could be heavily inspired by actor Robert Redford's 1975 movie Three Days of the Condor.

To prove their point, the account shared additional posts while writing that Adler's look in Black Ops Cold War as well as the leaked image from a thumbnail of Black Ops 6's reveal trailer is similar to Robert Redford's character seen in Three Days of the Condor.

The insider emphasized the similarities regarding the outfits, hairstyle, and facial looks of both characters.

In a separate post, the account also mentioned the synopsis of the 1975 movie to further prove that Treyarch's team may have taken a leaf out of the film's story.

In Three Days of the Condor, Robert Redford plays a CIA codebreaker named Joe Turner, aka, Condor. When he walks into his workplace, he finds out that all of his colleagues have been killed.

When Joe tries to tell his CIA supervisors about this tragic incident, he gets to know that people from the agency itself are involved in the murders. The story then sees Joe going on the run while trying to find out the reason why his own agency wants him dead.

From the teasers presented by Treyarch, Adler also seems to be in a similar situation in the game's campaign. He's now been framed as a mole in the CIA and is currently being hunted by his own teammates.

More details on Adler and Black Ops 6's campaign are expected to be revealed in Sunday's Xbox Showcase event by Activision.
