After the latest visual recoil update in Warzone, an underrated Assault Rifle is quickly climbing up to the meta ranks. It is none other than the AK-74. Despite its high damage output, it mostly flew under the radar and that is primarily due to the gun's high recoil. This made the gun a difficult pick for the vast majority. However, after the recent update to visual recoil, the firearm is much easier to use, allowing players to take advantage of its high damage output.
In fact, because of its high damage output and now lower visual recoil, the gun can easily achieve a TTK of only 735ms at up to 64 meters. However, it was only the visual recoil that was reduced and the weapon still has a higher base recoil.
Hence, in this guide, we'll take a closer look at the best AK-74 loadout in Warzone after the visual recoil update to mitigate most of its cons and optimize it for the best possible results.

Best AK-74 loadout in Warzone after visual recoil update
To build the best AK-74 loadout in Warzone after the visual recoil update, you must use the following attachments:
- Optic: Accu-Spot Reflex
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
- Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Stock: Infiltrator Stock
- Fire Mod: Recoil Springs
Do note that to use this loadout, you must have the Gunfighter Wildcard equipped. With that out of the way, here's how these attachments help lower recoil on the AK-74, transforming it into the new meta in Warzone:
The Accu-Spot Reflex is a precise Optical Sight in the game. It is perfect for any close or mid-range encounters. This will have no impact on the recoil and hence, if you don't like the Optic, you can switch it to one that suits your playstyle. However, we recommended the Accu-Spot because of its minimalist design which allows you to see your targets clearly.

The Reinforced Barrel increases both the damage range and bullet velocity of the gun. It boosts the effective damage range from 38 meters to 45.7 meters, making it a solid pick for mid-range engagements. Furthermore, the increased bullet velocity will ensure that all your bullets close the gap between you and your targets quickly.
You would never want to run out of bullets in the middle of an engagement and this is where the Extended Mag II saves the day. It increases the bullet count per mag from 30 to 50, allowing you to stay in the fight longer and take on multiple enemies without having to reload.
The Quickdraw Grip drastically increases the aim down sight speed. This comes in handy in close and mid-range encounters. It allows you to get into a fight quickly without slowing down and is a must-have if you are playing on smaller maps such as Area 99 or Rebirth Island.
The Compensator greatly reduces the vertical recoil. This ensures that you don't have to pull down the stick on your controller or your mouse by a lot to counter the high recoil. You must use it with the AK-74 for the most optimal results.
The Vertical Foregrip reduces horizontal recoil, which is usually a lot more difficult to counter. Horizontal recoil on any weapon in the game is random and there is no proper strategy to negate it. Hence, equipping the Vertical Foregrip does away with a lot of the horizontal sway, ensuring that you can maintain accuracy at mid to long ranges.
The Infiltrator Stock improves the aim walking speed. This allows you to clear the corners of a room easily while aiming down the sight. Furthermore, it makes you a difficult target to hit when you are strafing and shooting.

Finally, the Recoil Springs help a ton in reducing recoil. They act both on the horizontal and the vertical recoil by reducing them. This makes the firearm a lot more accurate. Moreover, with the reduced visual recoil using the AK-74 has never been easier.
That covers everything that you need to know about building the best Assault Rifle loadout in Warzone after the visual recoil update.
