The Superi 46 is dominating the WSOW (World Series of Warzone) Qualifiers. A recent report showcased the weapons participants used to get kills during the WSOW Qualifiers. The data suggested that the Superi 46 was used to eliminate over 10,000 players during the tournament. In contrast, the gun that stood second in this report was the Holger 26, and players got only 3000 kills with it.

That is a difference of over 7000 kills between the weapons. It is evident at this point that the Superi 46 SMG reigns supreme in Warzone and is the ultimate meta. However, with such a huge difference in their numbers in WSOW, it also begs the question of whether the SMG needs to be nerfed in the game.

Based on the WSOW report alone, many players would suggest that the Superi 46 needs to be nerfed in Warzone. However, that may not necessarily be the case.

Why the Superi 46 should not necessarily be nerfed in Warzone

If we look at the stats of the Superi 46 in Warzone, it is quite mediocre and does not excel in any particular area in the game.

For instance, one of the most important aspects to consider the viability of a gun is its time to kill. At 30 meters, the Superi 46 has a time to kill of 360ms. This is fast, but there are other guns in the same class that offer a better time to kill. The FJX Horus is one such example, as it has a time to kill of 305ms. Similarly, the RAM-9 also has a time to kill of 319ms at the same range of 30 meters.

Another statistic that many people tend to look at is the damage output. At ranges of 30 meters, the Superi 46 deals 33.65 damage per bullet. This is an impressive stat for an SMG, and the only other weapon in this class that beats it is the WSP-9, which deals 37.15 damage per bullet.

Please note that these statistics are of the base weapons without any attachments equipped and don't account for the armor plates.

As seen above, the SMG isn't the best in any particular aspect, even in its weapon class. So what makes it so popular in WSOW? The firearm is the meta for only one reason - it is a jack of all trades.

The SMG boasts exceptionally low recoil, as well as superb bullet velocity and damage range, along with a high fire rate and damage per bullet, making it one of the best guns in Warzone at the moment.

Since it is an SMG, the movement penalty is negligible. It essentially feels like using an Assault Rifle that gives you the mobility and handling statistics of an SMG. That is the sole reason why it is topping the charts in WSOW.

So to answer the question, does the Superi 46 need a nerf? Simply put, no, the SMG doesn't need a nerf. Instead, developers should focus on buffing other guns in the game so that they can compete with this weapon, giving players a more varied choice.
