Cheating in Warzone has gone out of hand. Recently, a cheater was clipped in the game creating their own Squid Game lobby but not in the way you think. In a short video shared by on X, a player is seen playing Red Light Green Light as seen in Netflix's hit series in the battle royale shooter. It didn't take long for the clip to blow up, and fans were quick to point out how bad cheating has become in Warzone.

Cheaters in Warzone are hosting their own Squid Game lobby
In the clip shared by @itsHunterTV, cheaters have been able to host their own Squid Game lobby in Warzone. In the video clip, the cheater has the Young-hee Operator skin equipped, which is also surprising, considering that the bundle is yet to be released in the game.
The cheater positioned themselves on top of a roof on the Resurgence map Rebirth Island, which is followed by the iconic Red Light Green Light song as featured in Squid Game.

Right after the song ends playing through their mic, the cheater turns around and aimbots the enemy, killing them almost instantly. It was a six-second-long clip, but the duration doesn't matter in this case as it was sufficient evidence of how far a cheater would go to ruin the game. Despite rising concerns about cheaters in the title, Call of Duty has yet to address the issue.
Although there are certain plans in place to improve their anti-cheat system Ricochet, these updates will arrive with Season 2, which is still 20 days away from the release at the time of writing (January 8, 2025).
This isn't the first instance of cheaters running rampant in the game and reigning over the official servers. In fact, hacking has become a major concern for players, and many pro Call of Duty players as well as content creators, are considering stepping away from the game until the developers resolve the problems.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that due to rising instances of cheating and plenty of game-breaking bugs, Warzone and Black Ops 6 has lost nearly 50% of its user base since its launch.
