Warzone and MW3 Season 6 content overview

The Season 6 update will bring a range of additions to both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, including two new weapons: the DTIR 30-06 battle rifle and the Kastov LSW LMG.

Here’s a breakdown of the new content for each title:

Modern Warfare 3

Maps

One new map and six map variants will be introduced at launch. These are:

  • Drive Thru (New 6v6 Core map)
  • Mad Cow (New 6v6 Core map variant)
  • Arena Shipment (New 6v6 Core Shipment map variant)
  • Stay High (New 6v6 Core Shipment map variant)
  • Bit-ment (New 6v6 Core Shipment map variant)
  • Ghost Ship (New 6v6 Core Shipment map variant)
  • Sunny Shipment (New 6v6 Core Shipment map variant)

Modes

This update will feature four returning modes, all with spooky twists that perfectly fit the Halloween season. These include:

  • Hordepoint
  • Arcade
  • Mutation
  • Infected

Warzone

Warzone will introduce a new map variant called Hellspawn, where Rebirth Island is surrounded by a terrifying atmosphere. The island will be overrun with devilish tentacles, gore-soaked terrain, and a strange mist in the air. Meanwhile, the ocean appears blood-red, providing a visually striking new exploration experience.

Additionally, another map variant of Vondel will feature a dark setting, allowing players to explore it at night under the moonlight, with long shadows and illuminated buildings adding to an appealing nocturnal landscape.

A new limited-time game mode, Purgatory, will also be available on the Hellspawn map variant, while Zombie Royale will make a return, playable on both Hellspawn and Vondel Night.
