Warzone playlist update (Sep 5-11, 2024): All available maps and modes
Here is the list of maps and modes available in the Call of Duty Warzone playlist update (Sep 5-11, 2024):
- Ranked Play (Trios) - Rebirth Island
- Plunder (Quads) - Urzikstan
- Battle Royale (Solos, Trios, Quads) - Urzikstan
- Resurgence (Duos, Quads) - Rebirth Island
- Resurgence (Trios) - Map Rotation
This week's update brought minor changes, including the removal of the limited-time mode, Supreme Resurgence, as mentioned earlier. Additionally, Resurgence on Rebirth Island saw a small update with the addition of the Quads squad option.
The developers have followed a similar pattern to the Season 5 update when the limited-time mode Superstore Resurgence was added for two weeks before being removed. Likewise, the Supreme Resurgence mode, introduced with Season 5 Reloaded, was available for two weeks and now it has been removed.
Given this pattern, it's unlikely that Supreme Resurgence will return in the next playlist update, which will be the final one before Season 6 launches on September 18, 2024.
Popular modes like Buy Back and Lockdown haven't been added in quite some time, and if we consider the playlist updates from previous seasons, the final update didn't bring any major changes either. Therefore, players shouldn't get their hopes up, as these modes are unlikely to be included in the next update.
When can players expect new modes in Warzone?
Players can expect new modes and map options in Warzone with the Season 6 update. While no official details have been released, popular leaker Semtex has hinted at the return of the Haunting Event, scheduled for Halloween during Season 6.
This event has been featured in past updates and has always introduced a new game mode to Warzone, making it likely that a similar spooky mode may be introduced this time. Apart from this, no information regarding new map updates or POI changes has surfaced.
Warzone Season 6 is set to go live globally on September 18, 2024, at 9 am PT.
That covers everything about the current Warzone playlist update (Sep 5-11, 2024).
