Call of Duty Warzone Ranked Resurgence is now filled with cheaters after the Season 5 update, and players are quite frustrated about it. Reports of cheating in the CoD battle royale have gradually increased in the past couple of days, and the situation is almost like the difficult days of Verdansk. A user posted a thread on Reddit and stated,

"Ranked Cheaters Are Getting Out Of Hand"

They further explain that it's hard to get past the Diamond level and there is a reason most players are stuck in Diamond and Platinum in Warzone Ranked Resurgence. Every one or two matches, players face numerous hackers and get demoted because of them. Hence, ranking up in the Warzone Ranked Resurgence has become almost impossible. The player expresses how this spoils the experience.

"Why can’t Activision do something about this? Reporting them does absolutely nothing. I know everyone talks about cheaters in ranked, but now that I’m actually interested in playing ranked I feel like this ruins it for me."

Another user in the comment thread criticized the CoD community because they're constantly purchasing new bundles in Warzone and MW3, making Activision care less and less about the quality of life in the game.

MadFlava76 further mocked the situation and stated that almost every game in Warzone ranked ends with two cheaters competing against each other to see "who has the better hacks."

Another user death2055 expressed dissatisfaction and stated "Ranked is actually cooked." According to them, they ran into hackers in four different games, causing them to leave. The user also accused Activision by saying that the Anti-cheat feature isn't working.

On July 30, 2024, Activision acknowledged the issue and gave a reason behind this sudden surge of cheaters in Warzone in Season 5.

Activision shares the reason behind the sudden surge of cheaters in Warzone Season 5

Be it Warzone or Warzone Ranked, the number of cheaters in Season 5 has majorly spiked. Call of Duty announced on its official X account that the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat recently resolved an issue with a detection system. Thus, players have found more and more cheaters in the last couple of days.

"We remain committed to combating cheaters, shutting down cheat vendors, and providing our players a fair and fun experience."

While the community is evidently unhappy with the current scenario in Warzone, there is nothing they can do except wait for the Anti-Cheat system to work properly. We hope Activision will resolve the situation soon and players can safely rank up.
