New and Updated Features
Ranks
The ranking system has been revamped, merging the previous BR Ranked Play's Rank and Skill Division into a streamlined format. Players now progress through eight tiers by earning SR (Skill Rating): Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crimson, Iridescent, and Top 250.
Updated Skill Rating (SR)
The SR system now rewards players based on placement and elimination performance. The SR gained from eliminations varies:
- Lower-ranked opponents: Earn less SR.
- Higher-ranked opponents: Earn more SR.
Update Party Skill Restriction
Parties can now form without rank restrictions if the squad is full. Matchmaking will be based on the highest-ranked player in the squad.
Seasonal Setback
End-of-Season SR adjustments have been modified to support lower-ranked players:
- Bronze or Silver Ranked players are not impacted by the Seasonal setback and will be able to pick up where they ended each Season with no SR deduction.
- Gold or Platinum players will start the next Season in Tier I of Gold or Platinum respectively.
- Diamond and above players will start the next Season at Diamond I.
New feature: Loss Forgiveness
The Loss Forgiveness feature prevents SR loss in specific situations:
- Your first match of the day will not result in SR deductions if you lose. However, this benefit does not stack or carry over to the next day.
- Additionally, the three games of Loss Forgiveness that are granted upon rank promotion or the start of a new season now only apply after losses.
