Dead Light, Green Light is a new limited-time mode (LTM) in Black Ops 6 Zombies. It is part of the new Squid Game 2 crossover event that went live in the CoD title on January 3, 2025, at 10 am PT. The Dead Light, Green Light limited-time mode in Black Ops 6 Zombies is exclusively available on the Liberty Falls and Citadelle des Morts maps and is not playable on Terminus Island. Unlike the traditional Red Light and Green Light phases associated with the game, this mode introduces a new phase called Dead Light.
In this mode, Young-hee, the iconic motion-sensing doll, appears in various locations on both maps. The mechanics are similar to the original game's. During Green Light, the doll faces away, allowing players to move freely. In the Red Light phase, the doll monitors their movement. However, there’s a twist — one can move during Red Light, but doing so will drain their essence.
Green Light phase
In this phase, you can move freely. Killing zombies during Green Light grants double Essence, making it crucial to rack up kills as quickly as possible.
Red Light phase
In the Red Light phase, you should remain still. Moving doesn’t kill you, but it drains your hard-earned Essence. You can still rotate, aim, and shoot at incoming zombies without taking a step. In this phase, staying in position is key to survival.
Dead Light phase
This phase ramps up the difficulty with an intensified zombie wave. Surviving this onslaught requires careful strategy, as the challenge becomes significantly harder.
As part of the Black Ops 6 Zombies x Squid Game 2 collaboration, three new bundles are being introduced. One is already available, while the remaining two will be released as the event progresses.
Purchasing any of these cosmetic collections and equipping the Operator included in it yields an added benefit — you’ll earn additional bonus points during the Green Light phase in the Dead Light, Green Light LTM.
