Treyarch is leaving no stone unturned in hyping up Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Terminus Island is one of the two round-based Zombies maps players will get access to in the game at launch. The devs even shared a lot of new details and information while teasing this brand-new Zombies map in Black Ops 6.
This article will go through the details and highlight what you can expect from the Terminus Island map in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies is one of the biggest round-based zombies maps in the franchise
In a recent video promoting the upcoming map, Treyarch's development team revealed that Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 will be one of the biggest maps in the Call of Duty Zombies experience so far.
Treyarch's Associate Director of Design Kevin Drew and Senior Lead Designer Anthony Saunders revealed that the main quests on Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies will allow players to traverse the map and complete objectives however they want.
"It'll use the ocean, it'll use the islands, it'll use every part of the the map. It's one of the bigger maps we've created. We wanted you to really like think about how you're moving through the space. We never had a driveable vehicle, (now) you can go drive a boat anywhere on the entire map."
The map, set in the early 1990s five years after the events of Black Ops Cold War Zombies, might give players the sense of an open world as they try to rid the place of the zombie threat. Moreover, the entire island will be surrounded by water as it's located in the Philippine Sea.
Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies will continue the story from Cold War Zombies
It's been already revealed in recent trailers that former Requiem members, namely Grigori Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Mackenzie Carver will try to escape an underground prison on Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
In Black Ops Cold War Zombies, Edward "Eddie" Richtofen, The Director of Requiem, had imprisoned all the members following the events of Operation First Domino. Weaver, Grey, Strauss, and Carver were sent into confinement for an indefinite time in the underground prison of Terminus Island.
Now, the prisoners will attempt to escape the island with the help of Dr. William Peck and a new character named Maya Aguinaldo, who has come to the island in search of her lost brother. However, the main goal will be to find Richtofen's coordinates and hunt him down.
Alongside the main quest, there will be tons of hidden easter eggs to complete on Terminus Island, similar to past Call of Duty games with the Zombies mode.
Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies to have the Gobblegum Machine
It has been confirmed that the iconic Gobblegum Machine will be present on Terminus Island during the round-based games in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Hence, players will be able to get GobbleGums based on their progression.
The Gobblegum machine will appear at different points on the map while tearing through deadly waves of zombies.
Terminus Island will feature a Void Cannon in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Terminus Island will also have a 16-inch artillery defense cannon that is capable of shooting Aether Beam. Furthermore, its muzzle flash will act as a singularity that slows enemy advancement and pulls any zombie enemies, present within the deck area, up into the beam before they are vaporized.
The Void Cannon will act as a major support weapon for players in case they get surrounded by massive hordes of zombies.
