Warzone Season 5: 1 new POI, 2 fresh modes, and more

The recent content drop blog has revealed almost everything about Warzone Season 5. Game-balancing changes will be detailed in the patch notes, typically released one to two hours before the update goes live. Here is a list of all the new content players can expect in Warzone Season 5:

New Urziksatn POI: Superstore

Warzone's Urzikstan map will feature a new POI named Superstore, inspired by the original Superstore POI from Verdansk. This POI is expected to host intense gunfights at launch, as many players will likely deploy here. Superstore will offer various coveted items, rare weapons, a new perk set, and more to prepare you for the battles ahead.

Located in the upper central-eastern side of Urzikstan, just south of the Orlov Military Base POI, the Superstore is a large two-story building. The quickest access point is the rooftop, which has four different entry points. Despite the high player density, once inside, you'll find plenty of cover among the aisles, staff rooms, and storage areas, providing ample opportunities for looting and fighting.

Alternatively, if you prefer to enter from the ground, there are more than 10 entry points. Choose the one with fewer enemies to increase your chances of survival.

Two new modes

1) Superstore Resurgence

This new mode is similar to the typical Resurgence mode but with a different location. As the name suggests, this mode will be played in the vicinity of the new POI, Superstore. The Resurgence rules apply, allowing you to respawn unlimited times as long as your team is alive or until the respawn timer ends. However, it will feature a lower player count of 28 players.

The intense battles in this new location will be entertaining, as players will have various new tactics to explore and an opportunity to get acquainted with this new POI.

2) Supreme Resurgence

The Supreme Resurgence mode, originally a limited-time variant included in the original Warzone back in 2022, will make its comeback in Warzone Season 5. This mode will be played on the Rebirth Island map and will feature exceptional ground loot, including meta-inspired weapon blueprints with various appealing camos.

As this mode will be available in the mid-season update, not much information is currently available. However, it has been mentioned that players who win their first Supreme Resurgence match will receive the exclusive Spilled Beans weapon camo as a reward.

Two new Public Events

1) Bounty Contest

The Bounty Contest is a new public event specifically activated in Resurgence mode. During this event, every squad will receive a Bounty Contract to eliminate a target within a designated time. Successfully eliminating the bounty target rewards players with 'kudos' and in-game cash, and they will then move on to the next member of the squad until the entire squad is wiped out.

Since everyone receives a Bounty Contract, the event will feature fierce battles and provide an engaging gaming experience.

2) Recon Flyover

The Recon Flyover Public Event will be introduced in the mid-season update. During a match, it will activate between rounds, deploying two waves of Advanced UAVs across the map that scan a large area. The mini-map will highlight the recon zone as a red circle, and any team within this zone will be exposed to other players.

Two new features

1) Redeploy Drone Beacon (R.D.B.) Field Upgrade

This new Field Upgrade, the Redeploy Drone Beacon (R.D.B.), is portable and can be deployed to relocate yourself in various situations—whether to evade an enemy rush, seek a new loot location, or move to a better vantage point.

2) Elite Contracts

Elite Contracts will be available in the mid-season update. These contracts will be more challenging, offering reduced completion times compared to normal contracts. Completing them will reward you with Bonus XP, cash, and one of the following benefits:

  • Foresight Killstreak
  • Multiple Redacted Weapons
  • Specialist Perk Package
  • Advanced UAV

Four new weapons

Along with all the additions mentioned, four new weapons will be introduced: two at the launch of Warzone Season 5 and two later in the mid-season update

  • Static-HV: This submachine gun will be available at launch, boasting a high fire rate and significant ammo capacity with a base of 50 rounds in its factory magazine.
  • STG: This assault rifle will also be available at launch and has been seen in many Call of Duty games in the past. It offers devastating power output with a significant recoil pattern.
  • Spear: This melee weapon will be available in the mid-season update and is built for the demands of modern combat. Players will be given three retrievable Spears with a reticle with every spawn in the game.
  • Torque 35: This launcher is a compound bow equipped with 20 retrievable arrows, designed to help players take down targets with ease, and it will be available in the mid-season update. It features excellent handling, a red dot sight for accurate shots, and an impressive weapon inspection animation that allows for creative use of various ammunition options.
