Fishfection in Modern Warfare 3 is a new limited-time game mode in Season 5 Reloaded. Gone are the days when soldiers fought soldiers. In this new mode, players assume the role of fish and cats, depending on the side they are on. It will be arriving in the game with the Season 5 Reloaded update, and needless to say, it appears to be a fun game mode to kick-start the upcoming mid-season update.
In this article, we take a closer look at the new game mode Fishfection in Modern Warfare 3.
Everything that fans need to know about Fishfection in Modern Warfare 3
Fishfection in Modern Warfare 3 is similar to the Infected game mode but with a twist. Here, instead of the infected and human players, fans will turn into fish and cats, where the latter will replace human players and the former, the infected. But that's not all.
Cat players will be equipped with two new weapons coming in Season 5 Reloaded: the Torque 35 compound bow and the Spear. Using them, they must defend themselves from fish players. The fish, on the other hand, won't have any heavy equipment at their disposal except for a knife. They must use it to take down their feline enemies.

Similar to the Infected game mode, once cats are taken down by fish, they will turn into fish, thus joining their side, and will be tasked with eliminating the remaining cats. The match ends when all the cats turn into fish, or when the match timer runs out with the cats staying alive.
In the first case, the fish team wins and in the latter, the cat team will emerge victorious. This is a fun little party game mode that adds a unique twist to the already popular Infected game mode. Fans will be able to join this mode on August 21, 2024, when the Season 5 Reloaded update goes live.
However, it is worth noting that Fishfection will be available only for MW3 players. Warzone players will have to sit this one out. Moreover, note that this is a limited-time game mode, meaning that once Season 5 ends, players will no longer be able to play Fishfection in Modern Warfare 3.
That said, if the mode gains traction and fans demand its return, Call of Duty may bring it back in Season 6, just like they did with the Get High mode.
