Mutation Resurgence mode in Warzone, explained

The Mutant Resurgence mode in Warzone is similar to standard Resurgence matches and has an identical theme to Mutation in MW3. However, there is a slight twist; all the Operators can get their hands on special mutation powers.

Players drop in the vicinity of the rampaged Popov Power Plant point of interest. Chemical vials are scattered across the map, which one can consume to gain a variety of mutant abilities.

There are seven types of Mutation powers that players must be aware of while engaging with enemies in a Mutation Resurgence match.

Here are all the Mutant powers in this Warzone mode:

  • Bioshield: Forms a protective bubble that shields the player and his teammates from incoming damage but allows them to shoot from within the bubble.
  • Divebomb: Launches player into the air and makes them dive towards a target. Nearby targets are damaged and pushed back on impact.
  • Mutant Leap: Allows for a charged leap that covers vast distances.
  • Toxic Stim Cloud: Deploy a smokescreen of toxic cloud that deals damage to enemies and provides a boost to the teammates for a short duration.
  • Sludge Sling: Provides a sludge grenade that bursts into a toxic gas cloud on impact. The toxic cloud slows and damages enemies over time.
  • Mutant Cloak: Can turn an Operator partially invisible for a short duration. Players leave traces in the form of green footprints while they are cloaked. Outlines enemies through walls for a short period.

Players can get their hands on Redacted weapons in Mutation Resurgence mode. These are special firearms of unknown origin that can be found in hot loot areas and bunkers on the map.

Redacted weapons feature more than five attachments and don't have the traditional limit that their regular counterparts do. They deal high damage, making them ideal as primary firearms. However, their rarity and limited availability on the battlefield makes them difficult to acquire.
