A new Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies blog went online today, August 8, 2024. It has brought forth a lot of interesting details about Activision's upcoming COD title. The Zombies mode is one of the most exciting when it comes to any series installment, but clearly, the new iteration is looking to make it even grander with additions such as the Wonder Weapon.
The Wonder Weapon in Black Ops 6 is a rare and powerful object that was discovered after extensive research on Terminus Island. This article will explain exactly what the weapon is and what it can do.
Details on the Wonder Weapon in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Known as the Beamsmasher, the Wonder Weapon is sort of a ray gun that has two different firing modes. Visually, it resembles the size and shape of a light machine gun. However, it packs a lot more power than most weapons and can help you complete objectives and challenges in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
It has a single barrel that emits a high-power energy beam known as the Aetheric beam. The Resonator Focus flaps set around the barrel direct the energy towards the opponents in a smooth beam as the primary fire.
To reload the Beamsmasher in Black Ops 6 Zombies, you must switch the side-mounted DAPP canister. The reload queues a quick animation where you pull out the canister using a band attached to its bottom and then replace it with a fresh one.
As mentioned before, the Beamsmasher in Black Ops 6 Zombies has two firing modes. Here is how both the primary and the secondary fire work according to the COD Black Ops 6 Zombies blog:
- Primary: This fires a solid beam of Aetheric energy, causing organic matter to break down at the molecular level. This occurs almost instantly, and the enemies appear to explode in a cloud of vaporized innards. Further testing is needed, but it appears that the longer the weapon fires, the more ungainly it becomes to move.
- Secondary: Focused soundwaves cause the molecules of multiple enemy targets to vibrate at alarmingly fast rates. The targets are wracked with pulsing head trauma that incapacitates by slowing rather than damaging them. Entities in this state become much more easily damaged by both the primary firing mode and conventional firepower.
The blog also mentions that the Beamsmasher in Black Ops 6 Zombies may experience energy-venting when excess pressure builds up due to continuous weapon use. Furthermore, automatic reloading causes a blast in a small radius that knocks enemies down.
