Everything that fans need to know about the next Call of Duty game after Black Ops 6
A plethora of intriguing details were leaked about the next Call of Duty game. As we have already discussed, it will likely be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 from 2012. Set in the year 2035, the game will continue the storyline of Alex Mason's son, David Mason.
Black Ops 2 (2012), tells us two tales. One from the perspective of Alex Mason in the late 80s and the other from David Mason's point of view, set in 2025. For the next entry in the series, David Mason will continue with his father's legacy in a semi-futuristic title based in 2035.

Similar to Cold War and Black Ops 6, the Call of Duty 2025 storyline will also focus on espionage and information warfare. That wraps up all the details about the game's Campaign.
Coming to Multiplayer, there are reportedly numerous changes on the horizon for the most-played game mode. Modes like Uplink are reportedly returning along with a host of maps from the first Black Ops (2010) game.
Human shields and Omnimovement are also set to return with a couple of improvements, along with the ability to wall run. One of the potentially game-changing aspects of this leak is the Perk system. If the leaks are true, then the Perk will operate on a network-based system with branching Perks, often seen in many RPG games.
Finally, Zombies will also return. COD seems to be doing away with the open-world Zombies modes and will stick to the currently popular round-based modes. However, the report hints that moving forward, up to eight players can team up to take on Zombies, which might suggest much bigger maps in the upcoming COD game.
