The time has come for Black Ops 6 Zombies to get a mysterious promotional campaign from Treyarch and Activision with The Truth Dies teaser website. After hyping up the Black Ops 6 Campaign with The Truth Lies website, the developers seem to have decided to generate buzz among Call of Duty Zombies fans with The Truth Dies, which is expected to keep the hype going till we get an official Black Ops 6 Zombies trailer.
This article will discuss everything regarding the mystery behind The Truth Dies in relation to CoD 2024 BO6 Zombies.
The Truth Dies mystery of Black Ops 6 Zombies explained
As of this writing, this newly introduced website features a single page with an old television set from the early 1990s. There are several options to adjust the volume. The total channel limit is six, similar to how The Truth Lies website was presented ahead of the official Black Ops 6 Campaign reveal trailer in May 2024.
Here's what an extracted tagline from The Truth Lies website reads while giving a clear message:
"Nowhere is safe. Survive if you can."
There's no doubt that The Truth Dies website is created to drop major clues and teaser clips ahead of a possible reveal of an official BO6 Zombies trailer. Furthermore, it greets you with a channel list before showing a brief clip that teases several Zombies characters inside a prison.
If the official description from previous blogs is anything to go by, these characters could be the returning Crew members, namely Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie Carver, and Elizabeth Grey, who will be seen stuck inside an underground prison on the Terminus Island, a round-based Zombies map from Black Ops 6.
The second channel on the website gives a brief glimpse of Terminus Island during nighttime in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The sixth channel currently throws in a scary jumpscare, featuring a Zombie with yellow eyes that pops up and vanishes in no time. Other channels still don't have anything to offer, as of writing.
The Call of Duty account didn't take long to officially reveal the mysterious website through a post on X.
The short video manages to provide some key details as well. It offers a quick look at what appears to be a live-action cutscene for another round-based Zombies map, Liberty Falls, from Black Ops 6.
In the video, many civilians are seen running for their lives while trying to escape from Zombies following an outbreak in the town. The clip ends up showing the Project Janus logo, making fans curious about the yet-unknown project which was first teased in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. For now, the only certainty is it's part of a huge plan by Dr. Edward Richtofen.
Is an official Black Ops 6 Zombies trailer coming soon?
It's already known that Activision's Call of Duty Next event, set to take place later this month, will offer the first look at Black Ops 6 Zombies gameplay. Hence, fans might get an official trailer before the actual gameplay is unleashed during the live event on August 28, 2024.
Note that this is just speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, The Truth Dies website might be a clever tease for an official BO6 Zombies trailer. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, 2024.
