All new features and updates added to Black Ops 6 Ranked Play

Here’s a breakdown of the new features and updates coming to Black Ops 6 Ranked Play:

Map and mode veto

This feature allows each team to veto one map-mode combination before a match, giving players more control over where and how they compete. Each team will be presented with three map-mode options and must reject one. If both teams reject the same combination, the game will randomly select from the remaining two.

Forfeit option

A new forfeit option lets a team end the match if all members vote to do so. Forfeiting counts as a normal loss but without penalties. The option becomes available at specific points in each mode:

  • Hardpoint: After the leading team scores 100 points
  • Control: After Round 1
  • Search & Destroy: After Round 3

Party skill restriction update

Full squads of four players can now compete together regardless of individual ranks, with matchmaking based on the highest-ranked player. Skill restrictions still apply to parties of two or three players.

Seasonal Setback Ranks

End-of-season SR adjustments help players in lower ranks by minimizing SR losses, particularly for Bronze and Silver players:

  • Bronze/Silver: No SR reduction.
  • Gold/Platinum: Reset to Tier I of their rank.
  • Diamond and Above: Reset to Diamond I.

Loss Forgiveness

Loss Forgiveness ensures that if you lose the first match of the day, there’s no SR reduction. Additionally, three Loss Forgiveness games will apply when you reach a new rank or start a new season and will count only after losses.

Weapon Builds

Global Weapon Builds created in Ranked Play can now be used across other modes, and vice versa, with restrictions.
