Warzone’s new map Area 99 is slated to launch with the inaugural season of Black Ops 6 in November 2024. The latest Call of Duty blog outlined a significant amount of gameplay content that will be available for the player base in both the multiplayer and battle royale titles. This also includes the exciting arrival of the classic Nuketown map and a fresh resurgence arena for the battle royale fans.
Warzone’s Area 99 map will arrive as a part of the free-to-play update. The map might be smaller than the existing ones, as it will only be available in the Resurgence playlist which generally contains fewer players than battle royale lobbies. Compact battlefields increase the game's pace as players can get revived for a limited time in resurgence.

When will Area 99 be available in Warzone?
The developers are gearing up to launch the whole new Area 99 map in Warzone on November 14, 2024. This is a significant date as Black Ops 6 will also receive its first big update on the same day, marking the start of Season 1. Fortunately, the map will not be locked behind a paywall and will be available for the community to enjoy.
The map can be played after players have downloaded and installed the new patch. The official Call of Duty blog showcased a collage of images of the new arena, along with information about it being set in the Nevada desert. The map will also contain a secret government-controlled area that is just a few kilometers away from the classic Nuketown region.

Players will also be able to explore various new Points of Interest (PoIs) including an entire factory where the infamous mannequins are assembled, alongside warehouses that contain Nuketown house items being developed. They will also come across the Echo Ridge Weapons Station. However, a detailed map breakdown has not been revealed at the time of writing this article.
All Black Ops 6 owners can dive in and play the Nuketown map on November 1, 2024. The map will apparently remain unchanged in terms of the layout and design while upgrading the visuals. It is one of the most iconic maps from the Black Ops series and can potentially gain a lot of attention as veterans return to one of their most memorable playgrounds.
