Ever since the mode was removed, fans have been wondering when will Ranked Play return in Warzone. The competitive game mode was removed from the title back on October 17, 2024, just before the launch of Black Ops 6. While developers did confirm that the game mode will return after the integration of Black Ops 6 with Warzone, we did not have a specific date or a time window that would hint players about its return.
Fortunately, the Season 1 roadmap for Black Ops 6 and Warzone has revealed some intriguing insights and we finally have an official time window for the return of Ranked mode in WZ.
When is Ranked Play returning in Warzone?
Ranked Play will be returning to Warzone in early December with the Season 1 Reloaded update. This has been discussed in the official Call of Duty blog, which covers the Season 1 roadmap. While we still might not have an official date for its return, we can be certain that it's returning with the Season 1 Reloaded update this December.
The Call of Duty blog states that at launch, Ranked Play in Warzone will only be available on the "big map", meaning that at launch, the competitive game mode will only be available on Urzikstan i.e. Battle Royale Ranked Play.
Hence, if you were excited to get your hands dirty with Ranked Resurgence on the Area 99 map at the beginning of Season 1 Reloaded, you are unfortunately out of luck.

As of now, not much is known about the rewards you can earn or details about the Skill Divisions and Ranks. That said, however, if we look at the changes that will be a part of Black Ops 6 Ranked Play, we can be certain that Skill Divisions will not be seeing any major changes.
Ranks, on the other hand, which went from 1 to 50, could be removed from the BR title as well similar to BO6 Ranked. However, these are just speculations, and fans are advised to wait until the Season 1 Reloaded blog drops to get the complete list of changes that the mode will see.
