Grigori Weaver in Black Ops 6 Zombies will be among the returning characters from Black Ops Cold War. He's going to be one of the Crew members players will see on the round-based Zombies map of Terminus Island in the game. Call of Duty has recently begun teasing BO6's Zombies mode with cryptic videos while also mentioning what's been going on with Weaver since he was last seen in the Cold War Zombies story.
This article will mention key details of the return of Grigori Weaver in Black Ops 6 Zombies and his connection to the events of Black Ops Cold War.
Grigori Weaver in Black Ops 6 Zombies early details revealed
Weaver will be seen as a prisoner on the map of Terminus Island who was sent there to be contained indefinitely by Edward Richtofen following the events of Operation First Domino, in Black Ops Cold War. In the previous installment of the story, Weaver led his Strike Team against an entity named The Forsaken. He was part of the Office of Requiem - an organization formed by Richtofen, its Director, to tackle zombie outbreaks across the globe.
After the events of The Forsaken, however, Weaver and other members of Requiem were sent to an underground prison located on Terminus Island. A reliable insider managed to spot the details clearly from the teaser. In the teaser, the developers officially mentioned the condition of Weaver in prison following his arrest by military police at the end of the Black Ops Cold War Zombies story.
According to declassified documents revealed in the teaser on The Truth Dies website, Grigori Weaver in Black Ops 6 Zombies will be seen as a broken man who has now lost his purpose after being sent to Terminus Island several years ago.
But being a key member of his team, comprised of Dr. Elizabeth Grey, Mackenzie Carver, and Dr. Oskar Strauss, he's being harshly interrogated, as ordered by Director Richtofen. Grigori Weaver in Black Ops 6 Zombies will be seen getting interrogated inside the prison by someone named Ernst Duffer.
Grigori Weaver's role in Black Ops Cold War Zombies
Weaver has been a major character in the Black Ops franchise ever since he was first introduced in 2010's Black Ops Campaign as a Special Agent. After his appearances in the Campaign mode for most Black Ops titles, he was brought back in the Zombies mode of 2020's Black Ops Cold War.
In Cold War, it was shown that Weaver was personally selected by Edward Richtofen to be in Requiem. However, Richtofen had other motives behind choosing Weaver.
Unspecified online theories suggest that Weaver had unknowingly killed Richtofen's wife and son by setting his house on fire during a past mission. According to documents revealed in the latest teaser for Black Ops 6 Zombies, Richtofen wants Grigori Weaver to suffer inside the prison on Terminus Island and this could be a major reason why.
Along with taking revenge on Weaver, Richtofen also wants to use him for his mysterious plan, called Project Janus. Recruiting Weaver in the Office of Requiem before sending him and other members to the underground prison on Terminus Island was all part of this plan.
