Black Ops 6 campaign: Who is Willam "Case" Calderon? Explained
Case is the primary protagonist of the Black Ops 6 campaign. He is the playable character who remains silent for nearly the entire duration of the game. He is a member of Frank Woods' Black Ops team and a key character in the narrative.
Not much is known about his early life and his biography is just about absent. Case's history gets revealed later on in the game as the team goes to Kentucky to investigate the Advanced Technology and Applications Division.
Case and The Cradle
The reason the team decided to investigate the Advanced Technology and Applications Division facility is because that's where The Cradle bioweapon comes from. This is the key weapon that the Black Ops 6 campaign revolves around. However, due to unknown reasons, the facility was abandoned.
During the Emergence mission in the Black Ops 6 campaign, Case falls through an elevator shaft while investigating the aforementioned facility. Here, he finds himself in a strange area of the building where The Cradle gas seems to have leaked. This could be the reason the facility was abandoned.
Case inhales The Cradle gas and begins to hallucinate seeing nightmarish creatures and zombies. This also leads him to eventually discover secrets about his identity.
William "Case" Calderon is known as Case because he was the first test subject of The Cradle bioweapons. The Cradle was created to make super soldiers; however, due to some accidents, the bioweapon leaked into the facility causing its eventual abandonment.
Due to the gas's side effects, Case lost all his memories of ever being subjected to the experiments and his memory only came back during the Black Ops 6 campaign.
