Black Ops 6 Prestige integration with Warzone may not be the best move for a vast majority of players. Starting from Season 1, the progression system in the two titles is synced and integrated. Hence, if you decide to Prestige in Black Ops 6 and have your level in the game reset, this will also reflect in Warzone. But this might be a problem for many, especially players who indulge in both games.
Read below to find out why Black Ops 6 Prestige integration with Warzone can do more harm and good for many.
Exploring Black Ops 6 Prestige integration with Warzone
Let us first understand in brief how Prestige affects the two games. All players can level up to 55. After reaching level 55, they have a choice. You can stay there and nothing changes, or you can opt for Prestige.
If you opt for Prestige, your level is reset to 1, and you will lose all progression and stats, including Perks, Killstreaks, Equipment, Black Ops 6 weapons and more, with a few exceptions, such as Weapon Blueprints earned from the Battle Pass or those that are purchased. But there are rewards associated with each Prestige level, and it incentivizes to Prestige.

This is the classic Prestige system, and that's how progression used to work in the legacy games. So, all in all, it is a fantastic system that does not gatekeep Prestige levels based on the in-game season.
Unfortunately, with Black Ops 6 Prestige integration with Warzone, it can cause a problem. In Warzone, a majority of the gameplay loop is determined by loadouts, which consist of weapons, Perks and Equipment. However, since the two are now integrated, if you Prestige in Black Ops 6, all your unlocks in Warzone will be reset, and you must start from level 1 again.
This means that your loadouts with various Perks, Equipment, and all Black Ops 6 weapons, which are now the meta, will be locked away, only for you to start from the ground up.
This might block your access to the meta weapons and be at a disadvantage. Now, many would say that if you own the Battle Pass blueprints, you will have access to those weapons. But what if someone doesn't want to buy the Battle Pass? They'll be locked out of many blueprints that aren't free, and so they won't have access to those guns. This is a cause for concern with Black Ops 6 Prestige integration with Warzone.
The gameplay loop in Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone are vastly different. In the hopes of creating an integrated system for all these titles, Warzone is the game that will suffer the most.
So, even if you did not want to Prestige in Warzone and keep all your items, they will be locked again. This doesn't affect the MW3 or the MW2 weapons, but it does affect weapons in Black Ops 6, most of which are meta of their respective classes at the moment.
Hence, this system can end up causing issues for Warzone players. Sure, a lot of players will disagree, and this won't even matter for players who play only Zombies Multiplayer, or only Warzone.

But the fact remains, that even if you do not Prestige in Warzone and wish to do it only in Black Ops 6, you'll be punished in a way that I believe can be unfair for a vast majority of casual players. This is the unfortunate outcome of the Black Ops 6 Prestige integration with Warzone.
