Call of Duty players have witnessed the third-person mode in recent titles like MW2 and MW3 and many of them must be hoping for its return in Black Ops 6. The third-person option lets players see the full Operator model in action compared to the traditional first-person format in the franchise.
This article will discuss the possibilities of a third-person mode in Black Ops 6 at launch.

Treyarch is not likely to bring back third-person mode for Black Ops 6
For the uninitiated, the third-person was initially revealed in 2022's Modern Warfare 2 under the Multiplayer mode. Till the time it was available actively in the game, many players enjoyed this unique experience as opposed to the usual format of first-person gameplay.
However, the developers eventually decided to limit the access to third-person mode. Later it was only available in Private Matches and the DMZ mode in MW2.
When Modern Warfare 3 was released last year, it also brought back the popular mode but in the Zombies mode. Players can currently switch to third-person in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies but not in Multiplayer.
Considering the removal of third-person mode from MW2 and MW3's Multiplayer, it seems highly unlikely that it will return with Black Ops 6 this year.
Will it be available in the BO6's Zombies mode, though? That's a tricky question to answer, and it solely depends on Treyarch's developers if they want to add this option for round-based zombies.
Notably, Black Ops 6 will also receive a revolutionary change to its movement with the introduction of Omnimovement mechanics. Players will be able to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction they want during combat across the Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies.
Having the option of a third-person perspective to view one's Operator performing all the crazy Omnimovement actions sounds like a great idea for BO6. However, it won't likely be part of the upcoming game. The developers haven't mentioned anything about a third-person mode so far. But this is only a speculation at the moment and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Hopefully, Treyarch's team will come up with an update on this topic ahead of BO6's release this fall.
