Call of Duty players who have enjoyed their experience with MW3 Zombies might end up getting disappointed with Black Ops 6 Zombies. In case they were hoping for their progression to carry into the new game, it may not happen at all. Treyarch's team has already made it clear a few days ago that they are going for a fresh start with BO6, which may also include the round-based zombies mode.
This article will try to clear the doubts on whether MW3 Zombies' progression will continue with Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Black Ops 6 Zombies is not likely to allow progression and cosmetics from Modern Warfare 3 Zombies
Call of Duty Zombies expert and scooper @MargwaNetwork recently took to X while reminding everyone that MW3 Zombies gameplay progression will not carry into Black Ops 6 Zombies. It also includes special Operator skins and weapon skins unlocked in Modern Warfare 3.
Simply put, players who have succeeded in obtaining various blueprints in MW3 Zombies by completing different challenges won't be able to use those blueprint rewards in Black Ops 6. Plus, they won't be able to continue using their purchased Operator bundles in MW3 Zombies in BO6's Zombies experience.
The developers have already confirmed that Black Ops 6 won't feature the Carry Forward system like MW3. Hence, there won't be any support for cosmetics and bundles purchased in the previous installments. Everything in BO6's Multiplayer as well as the Zombies modes will be fresh.
BO6 Zombies to introduce two brand new maps at launch
It's not all disappointment as the Zombies mode for the upcoming game will offer two new maps named Liberty Falls and Terminus at launch. Unsurprisingly, both of them are round-based maps.
Interestingly, one of the two maps is also rumored to be available as a pre-order bonus for an Early Access period of BO6 Zombies ahead of the release. However, Treyarch is yet to provide an official update on this situation.
