Black Ops 6 has been subject to a lot of criticism lately. Skill-based matchmaking, hit registration issues, and cheating are some of the most common complaints of players. However, not everyone seemed to be on the same page. Recently, a fan took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the community's constant criticism of the game, claiming that most of these complaints seemed hypocritical and they had a fair share of reasons to come to this conclusion:
u/Kadziet called out Black Ops 6 players for constantly criticizing the game and went over a list of issues. They pointed out the fact most of them appeared to be quite hypocritical.
They called out the new generation of Call of Duty players by stating the following:
"Y'all wouldn't survive classic Halo lmao."
Call of Duty fan calls out Black Ops 6 community for their relentless negativity toward the game
The title of the post lept right into criticizing the community for their constant negativity toward the game. Then, they went on to list out a couple of issues that players currently complained about, showing where the hypocrisy lay in their complaints:
- Don't want to lose.
- Don't "mind losing" lmao, but have to win every match.
- Want to "chill and vibe", but also stomp and dominate the other team.
- Leave matches where you are losing.
- Hate teammates leaving matches when you're losing.
The list appeared to resonate with a lot of players who were too frustrated with the way Call of Duty players have been criticizing the latest game. u/Kadziet started by stating Black Ops 6 players don't want to lose a match. Then they added that fans also claimed that they don't mind losing, and yet they have to win every match they play.
Next, they mentioned that players want to "chill and vibe" in Black Ops 6, and at the same time, they want to dominate their enemies, which seemed counterintuitive, to say the least. They weren't done yet.
Then they pointed out that the players who had issues in a match would just quit. But then these same players would complain when others would leave mid-game.
Their frustration with the community was clearly showing. They talked about times when video games were meant for fun and criticized the community's claims of the game having EOMM. Here's what they had to say regarding the players who had no definite basis for their criticism:
"What happened to just logging on and playing the game? Nowadays it is "camo grind or die", when nobody cares what camo you are using. Complaints about "EOMM", but it has never been confirmed to be implemented. Blaming SBMM for your own lack of skill."
Expanding on their original statement, they added:
"I keep seeing posts about "movements kids" and "I am too old now for Omnimovement". Stop blaming SBMM and just accept you were never good at the game."
They mentioned that players are blaming EOMM (Engagement Optimized Match Making) when it doesn't even exist in the game. Secondly, they called out players who complained about SBMM, claiming that Skill-based Matchmaking was not the reason for their poor performance in-game and rather it was the player's fault for not being "good" at the game.
Finally, they shared their thoughts about players complaining about the technical issues in the game. To this, they said the following:
"It is a VIDEOGAME. Stop taking it so seriously. Stop blaming SBMM. Accept that the vast majority of internet service providers in the US are dog water and contribute to the "packet loss" and accept it really IS just your connection. Accept that your 1070 or PS4/Xbone just can't perform well with the latest CoD games and that also contributes to packet loss, lag, and disconnections."
According to them, the majority of ISPs in the United States aren't decent, and they are the main culprit behind problems, such as Packet Loss, and it has nothing to do with the game. Then they talk about the poor performance or low FPS concerns of the players, stating that old hardware such as a GTX 1070 or the last-gen systems like the PS4 and Xbox One can't keep up with the latest Call of Duty games.
These caused the majority of the technical issues that players complain about, and yet, it has nothing to do with the game. Simply put, the hardware is just outdated to play the latest games, and these cause many issues, including lag, low framerates, and more.
They concluded by stating that at the end of the day, it's still just a video game, and players shouldn't be taking it so seriously.
