Viswanathan Anand and Magnus Carlsen played out yet another draw

In game two of the FIDE World Chess Championship 2013, Viswanathan Anand and World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen played out yet another draw.

The game lasted 25 moves. Anand started the game as white and played his usual e4 opening move. The first 10 moves of the game were played rather quickly as both players exchanged pieces in the center of the board.

In the 18th move, Carlsen offered a queen exchange that Anand accepted, and it was clear that both players were going for the draw.

Finally, after the 25th move, both players agreed that no result seemed likely and agreed on a draw.

Yesterday, Carlsen and Anand had played out a 16-move draw.

The next match of the Championship will be played on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013.
