FIDE World Junior Chess Championships U20 2024: Samant Aditya top Indian in open section; Divya Deshmukh continues to lead

In the ongoing FIDE World Junior Chess Championships U20 2024, Samant Aditya was the top Indian player in the open section, positioned ninth with seven points while Divya Deshmukh continued to dominate the women’s standings. The tournament is being held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Anuj Shrivatri (7), Pranav Anand (6.5), Manish Anto Cristiano F (6.5), and Srihari L (6.5) are occupying the 10th, 14th, 18th, and 19th positions in the open section standings, respectively.

Shifting our focus to the women’s section, Divya Deshmukh leads the standings with nine points while Rakshitta Ravi is third with 7.5 points. Sachi Jain (7), Shubhi Gupta (7), and Rindhiya V (6.5) are at the seventh, ninth, and 12th positions respectively.

Moving to other details in the women’s section standings, Tejaswini (6.5), Bristy Mukherjee (6.5), Mrudul Dehankar (6.5), and Sneha Haider (6) occupy 16th, 18th, 19th, and 20th ranks respectively. The World Junior Chess Championships are set to conclude on Thursday, June 13.
