The Fayetteville Baseball Regional features Southeastern Conference powerhouse Arkansas and Ohio Valley Conference Tournament champion Southeast Missouri State. It also has Conference USA regular-season champion and tournament runner-up Louisiana Tech and Big 12 contenders Kansas State.

The four teams will play at the Razorbacks' home field at the Baum-Walker Stadium for a spot at the Super Regional. Arkansas is the top seed, while Louisiana Tech, Kansas State and Southeast Missouri are second, third and fourth, respectively.

The Fayetteville Regional gets underway on Friday, with Arkansas taking on Southeast Missouri and Louisiana Tech facing Kansas State. The winner of the college baseball regional tournament will play the champion of the Charlottesville Regional in a best-of-three Super Regional duel.

Fayetteville Baseball Regional Projection 2024

Arkansas, seeded fifth in the nation, gets a favorable bracket, as it's paired with Louisiana Tech, Kansas State and Southern Missouri State.

The Razorbacks head to the tournament with a 43-14 record and are expected to ease through the regionals with Louisiana Tech (45-17) serving as the biggest threat to its quest to make it to the Super Regional and the College World Series.

Kansas State (32-24) and Southeast Missouri State (34-25) are no pushovers, as they could surprise 40-win Arkansas and Louisiana Tech in the regionals and qualify for the next round.

The double-elimination regional tournament begins at 3 p.m. ET with the Arkansas-Southeast Missouri State duel, followed by the Louisiana Tech-Kansas State clash at 8 p.m. ET.

Betting odds for the Fayetteville Regional have released, with Arkansas emerging as the pre-tournament favorite at -190. Kansas State and Louisiana Tech have the second and third-best odds at +350 and +450, respectively, while Southeast Missouri State is a longshot at +2500.

Hagen Smith and the rest of the Razorbacks pitching staff will try to shut down their opponents to hide their recent inconsistencies in the plate. Aside from their high-caliber pitching staff, Arkansas' Baum-Walker Stadium is arguably the toughest field to win against.

The Razorbacks are 33-3 in their home field, so it will be interesting to see how the Bulldogs Wildcats and the Redhawks cope up to their home-field advantage that the Dave Van Horn-mentored squad has in the regional.

It would take a miracle for the three teams to outclass the favored Razorbacks and win the regional. Expect Arkansas to sweep the Fayetteville regional with relative ease and face the winner of the Charlottesville Regional for a spot in the College World Series.
