Jace Laviolette was one of the best players on the Texas A&M Aggies in the 2025 college baseball season. The first-team All-American showed off his potential during his second season in Texas and was a bright spot on last year's squad.

According to Baseball Reference, Jace Laviolette has had 50 home runs during his collegiate career. Laviolette has racked up the total in 132 games with the Aggies in a two-year collegiate career. He scored the most home runs on the team in 2024.

Jace Laviolette set to return to Texas in 2025

Despite Jace Laviolette's excellence, he entered the transfer portal upon the completion of last season. It's been speculated that his initial decision resulted from the Longhorns hiring former Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle. Schlossnagle recruited Laviolette to the Aggies, and his departure left a gaping hole in the program.

However, the standout prospect has had a change of heart. On Tuesday, Laviolette announced his decision to remove his name from the transfer portal. Laviolette is joined by Gavin Grahovac, who also removed his name from the NCAA transfer portal. Grahovac had an impressive 2023 that saw him being named the SEC Freshman of the Year. He scored 298/.390/.597 with 16 doubles, 23 home runs and 66 RBIs in his freshman year. He, too, should be a major part of the post-Jim Schlossnagle's roster in the upcoming season.

That means he will lead the Aggies' batting ranks in the upcoming season, as teammate Braden Montgomery is entering the 2024 MLB Draft. Laviolette will remain with the 2024 College World Series runner-up and potentially help the side go one better in his last year at the collegiate level.

Jace Laviolette is a top prospect in the 2025 MLB Draft

Yes, Laviolette is considered a top prospect in next year's MLB Draft. The Aggies outfielder is a potential top-three pick in next year's draft alongside Ethan Holliday and Cam Cannarella.

Laviolette is arguably the most polished of the prospects, boasting stats of 50 home runs, 143 RBIs, 28 stolen bases, and .672 slugging in 138 games. He'll now have the chance to improve his game with the Aggies and become the first overall pick in next year's MLB Draft.
